Silly Question...

I know it probably seems a little... well... 13-year-old-girl-in-a-chat-room-asking-a/s/l-every-15-minutes-claiming-to-be-a-25-year-old-porn-star-ish, but I recently noticed something weird. I sometimes feel like I get to know people here, and I tend to guess their relative age, and live in my little happy world. Then people I had pegged at mid-30's-ish talk about their high school and I get all confused.

Just to let y'all know - I clicked the 20's box. I'm a 20-year-old college student. YAY.

Man I get asked for id buying a sixpack at tesco's.

I was walking around Hyde park, looking for someone with a light, I asked this one guy, and guess what he says in a real yank accent,

"I am a police occifer in LA, and it would be a felony for me to give a light to a minor." So I said wtf do you consider a minor? and he says

"anyone under the age of 18"

I said WTF man, I'm 25 and it's 09:00 AM and I gotta light this mf, so quit jivin my ass.

So he left.

Yeah i know what you mean, in hannover i was once stopped (fll blown arm across the dorr) and the bouncer just said ab 18 ( over 18).......... i was 20...

I'm an American (confined to my brutal, world-conquering native language :rant: ), and I'm slowly learning German in college. I can write it fairly well, and I can read and understand it well, but I'm a little slow in speaking. I'm just too embarrassed to talk to any aqua-softers in German, for no good reason....

But i dont feel really confortable with german either... i hold a german passport, my dad is german but ive lived there only the first 2 years of my life and never gone to german school, therefore my german "gramatik" SUCKS... i can speak it... but i cant write it hehehe... i can read it tough...

I preffer to speak in english or spanish...
