hey fellas, I just got a 12" ibook with the combo drive. It's everything that I heard it was. It came with 128mb RAM and I bought a 256 MB sstick from crucial. I couldn't believe how FAST it was with only 128 mb of RAM. Anyway, if anyone needs screenshots I can post them.

Just one little thing... Mac does not stand for anything, it's an abbreviation of Macintosh - so don't capitalize all three letters ![]()

i just got my 17"er too... it's the most wonderfull machine i've been in contact with!!! i'm loving it!!!
Welcome to the club man!
Almost everybody that gets exposed to a mac osx, gets sucked in.
Thumbs up for Apple® (Y)
i think we should count all these switchers and use them should Apple ever get moody with us. I think Aqua-Soft is a lot more effective than that f***ing switch campaign. ![]()
btw... MAC stands for something not anything to do with mac computers. It doesn't really matter but thats where the other guy was coming from i'm sure.
Yeah, Im loving it. I had never used OS X only OS 9, but it didn't take me anytime to figure it out. Im not dogging Windows by any means but its odd to have a computer that doesn't lock up and give weird errors nearly every day. The thing that surprised me the most was that I brought it home hooked it up to my home network, enabled Samba and I was browsing my Linux, Windows network immediately. No config whatsoever.
P.S. I didn't realize I had capitalized MAC. I know its an abbrev. of Macintosh. I was just emphasizing it out of my extreme joy.
Peace
Give us some cool screenshots, Bro. BTW.....did you know much about Mac's before purchasing one? I'm in the market for one as well. I know that iBooks are powered by the G3. Is there anything limiting by virtue of having a G3?
I knew a little about macs beforehand. I had used OS 9 for a couple of years at school. I know that the G3 will probably be phased out when the G5 hits the PB. It however has not slowed me down any. I don't play games so I dont know how it would perform, but it does everything i need and more.
heres a screenie
