[tutorial] Logon Screen Backgroun Changing

This tutorial will explain how to make your wallpaper change every amount of time, and in the same time to make the logon screen background the same as your wallpaper, just like in Mac OS X :)

What you need:

1. A copy of Desktop Wizard Pro installed and configured for your needs. you can buy it or download a shareware

version at http://www.desktopwizardpro.com

2. A copy of Resource Hacker. you can download it for free at http://www.users.on.net/johnson/resourcehacker/

3. The attached .zip file.

4. A Mac OS X like logon screen (like Xero's one), installed manually without any software like Logon Loader.

5. Windows File Protection should be completely disabled using the sfc_os.dll hack.

6. Some wallpapers ;)

Steps:

1. Extract the downloaded zip file to your C:\Windows folder. Don't worry, it will create a subfolder called "

LogonWallpaper".

2. Go to C:\Windows\LogonWallpaper, right click switch.bat, and select Edit.

3. in the 2nd and 3rd line, there are variables that refer to the path of Desktop Wizard Pro and Resource Hacker.

Correct them if needed.

4. Open C:\Windows\system32\logonui.exe using Resource Hacker.

5. Browse the Bitmap section until you see the background of your logon screen. Remember it's number.

6.

**If the number you've got from step 5 is 100, ignore this step!**

Edit switch.bat again. Go to the last line, where you see the number 100. Change the number to the number you

should remember from the last step.

7. Open your control panel, and double click on Scheduled Tasks.

8. Double click on "Add Scheduled Task", and click Next.

9. You should see a list of applications. Now click Browse... and select "C:\Windows\LogonWallpaper\switch.vbs".

10. Now choose how often do you want the wallpaper to change, and that's all! :D

Note: I don't take any responsibility for anything that happens to your computer because of this tutorial.
