i never really wanted to reply to this post, but im more like asking a question:

i have a microsoft optical intellimouse USB and when i had it connected to my desktop at home (win 98se) it would seem to stop working for a second or two, then work, then stop for another second and back to working like nothing happened. when i got my laptop, i wiped winXP off and put Mandrake Linux on, the mouse never gave me a problem (at least, i dont recall). being a wuss, i got rid of Linux again, and put win2000 pro on, and the mouse continues to frustrate me. the question is, does anyone else have this problem? is it operating system related?

I have to update this!

Now I'm the proud owner of a Quadro 4 500/550 XGL!

Actually It's the same video card! I just used SoftQuadro4 to convert my GeForce 4 MX 440 to a Quadro 4 500/550 XGL! You know.. GeForces And Quadros use actually the same chip but options like some openGL extentions are hidden in the GeForces.. Now 3d Max flies! I tell you! It flieees!!!
