Hey stash...looks great.  I might suggest you check out the vbAccelerator S-Grid control.  I've made an "aqua-fied" version that is distributed with the AquaControls.  It shows up in the Componenets list as "vbAccelerator Grid Control (VB6 version)".  This is a very powerful control and doesn't flash like the MS controls do.  Check out S-Grid documentation and samples here.  Let me know if you decide to use it.  I've added functionality to better handle images in the grid.

Actually I'm using a custum made control to display images, and I think I'll to this for a bunch of reasons. I'm also thinking in using safe-mode DirectX for graphical-critical parts of the program, but that means a lot of testing and a very straightforward device init module. I'll have you guys test this out

But thanks for the suggestion. Any contructive idea is really worthy to me

Couple of things I have noticed...

I take it back, the titlebar text should not be larger. You just need to get rid of the extra bottom half of the top border.

Again, looks great. I am hoping I can use this as my main photo managing application!

Looks like a very nice interface.

I would like to see info about the picture right underneath the picture (like file name, size, date modified,). The best way would be an option that turns on/off picture data.

If you can do this and have good stability, I would have this as my default picture viewer (better than ACDsee or Picasa).

If it was able to handle PNGs,GIFs,MPEG4,MPEG1,MPEG2 it would rule!

I like the Brushed Aluminum Aqua Skin you made but will it be easy to skin in the future ? Could the Min-Max-Close buttons have an option to switch to the right at some future point ?

Spelling error: I think it should be organize (not organise) unless there is a difference in the otherside of the Atlantic Pond (Organization-Organize). Maybe you are a biologist and got confused with organism ?

Great Great Start ! I hope you keep this project up or allow someone to continue. It is really a very good start.

ok guys, honestly I lost the source of the version you are trying to download, and I also deleted the file on my host to make some room. I'm sure someone can host it somewhere. Anyways, it's mostly interface and has nothing to do with the last version I made. I plan to release a first alpha release (Without the share section though) anytime.

I'm sorry about being so late in my dev planning, but I'm looking for a job in Information Systems consulting and we're having some really bad time on the employement market here in europe.

The only thing I can promess is to release a first release in 2 or 3 weeks.
