If anyone could help the people in the community how to enlarge those icons. I'm sure its possible somewhere in the registry - but i've been searching around sites and couldnt find anything that talks about it.
Its not a big deal, though it'll make things look much nicer.
Where are all those hackers we used to have once (Y) like every help for what dll does what they always had the answer... sigh - nostalgy :harp:
Run regedit
Go to hkey_current_user/controlpanel/desktop/windowmetrics
add new string name "shell small icon size" and click to the new string and put whatever size u like
Reboot!!! Wallla your explorer icon size will increase but believe its look very ugly......

And what is a decent (safe size) size to resize them to? i dont know where they get the resources from but maybe theyve only been assigned 16 x 16 max or something thus resizing will make it look like crap...

Mine are set at 24x24 and they look fine.

I chose 32 size - and it looks great.
That is for the "shell small icon size" - which is a new string (what i was asking for).
for the regular size icons i usually use either 72 or 128.

Can u post your open/save dialog box with the new icon size??

How on earth did you get that font at the top (ALL ICONS!) to look so crisp? What font / size is that?

what i hate is when i set the other normal icons to 128 or something like that there are always some icons that looks screwed up (non shell icosn that i havent replaced...

He's got ClearType font smoothing on (XP only: Display Properties > Appearance > Advanced > Font Smoothing) and the font is Lucida Grande about size 11-13 at a guess.
Can someone tell me how to change the font, and its size, on the FOLDER Section Where GoKus REd Arrow is Pointing ???ive changed the icon size but not the Original ugly FOnt and font size????Please someone

Listen man, have you not got glitches on the adress bars and stuff when you resize the icons to 32? i have em, theyre annoying...

oh yeah - you were right alang / seph.
the address bar gets blown up and microsoft pissed me off again.
so i let it go, but i blown the shell icon size to 128. missed that for a while now 
is there a way to downsize the icons in the open dialog box??... it appears that this bos takes on the whatever size the shell icon sizes are..

I think it's the same font and size as the icon text on the desktop, which you can alter using Display Properties -> Appearance -> Advanced -> Icon.
Not 100% sure though!
