Maximize With Rounded Corners

I would like to know if it's possible to modify the maximize state to have rounded corners (with style builder), cos by default xp maximizes and make the windows square and I hate that.

it is possible

Download stylebuilder,

Import the theme in question, goto the directory of images,

Fire up a paint program:

Locate FRAMEMAXIMIZED.BMP (this is the captionbar when the window is maximised, i.e. square edged)

Now also open:

FRAMECAPTION.BMP (This is the captionbar for all non maximised windows, i.e. round edged.

Copy and paste the round edges of the one into the other, compile it and you are done.

Or you could use Classic Corners...

But, don't macs have rounded corners when maximized? Cos I swear I saw some screenshot of maximized Safari and it looked great.

I have my dock on my left hand side and use winfx to set the maximum size so that it doesn't overlap the dock. It just looks stupid with square edges.

Macs dont "maxamize". They "zoom".

The window doesnt fill up the whole screen, and its still movable and resizable.

I like this way much better, and I always set my Window Manager to do this.

Set Windows Manager to do "zoom"? Can XP do that?

And since I got two of the great themers' (j450n and Three Drives) attention, I might as well ask it here. About the photoshop tool window minimize bug, as far as I know it's just Kol's themes are affected. I have this BBX Mercury theme from HWG or something and the minimize glyph seems to be in place. And I think it can be fixed, any idea how?

Please provide link to BBX Mercury so we can examine.

the problem with photoshop..

is that it doesn't use the MDI caption buttons

(which, in the theme.. are smaller)

photoshop uses the regular Minimize button..

i don't know why photoshop does this..

the only way to fix this, would be to set the standard minimize button differently..

but, this would have an effect on how the normal sized minimize button looked..

i personally don't think it would be worth messing up the minimize button for all apps, just to get compatability with photoshop..

i will, however, look into the buttons, to see if there may be some other way of fixing it...

Err, how do I get rid of the magenta? And do I save it as 16, 24 or 32 bit bmp?

EDIT: Never mind, fixed it. :D

Quick question:

How do I set the icons and glyphs so it's 2 pixel further from the edge? Which properties do I change?

Thanks in advance.
