hello guys!
Ive wanted to change my Aopen ak77pro motherboard for a while... my computer has 1gb of ram, athlon XP 2000+, and basically you dont need to know more... I have a good soundcard already so good built in sound card is not a must...
Ive been looking at these two motherboards Gigabyte GA-7VAXP and Asus A7N8X altough im not sure if theyre as good as they sound or not...
Your views?

i've heard good things about both boards, but i've heard a lot more about the asus. nforce2 is great, and asus is fantastic for overclocking. the gigabyte has a via chipset, i think, right?
both are really good boards, and i think you can find some reviews that show this. personally, i'd go for asus, but that's just my opinion.

I would go for the Asus. I have heard most goodt things about Asus. I have an Asus board myself, and i have had no problems with it 
i would go with the asus a7n8x delux. Its a beatifull board with all the toys, Stable, and a great overclocker. Its more of a prefomance board though, and the price reflects this.
