I wasn't trying to sell you on anything. I normally when posting anywhere recount only experience and what I consider fact. Whether you take a blind bit of notice of my opinions is of no particular interest to me. 
Whether you buy a PC or a Mac, well why would I care? It's your money, and you know your needs, not me.
As with iMovie - when I say streets ahead, what I mean is that I didn't have to actually learn anything. It was as easy as taking candy from a baby. With Windows Movie Maker, it was, for me, a case of trial and error. Is iMovie perfect? Absolutely not. But I'd choose it over Windows Movie Maker any day.
You seem to have construed that I'm some kind of Mac fanboy. If you read some of my posts on this board, you'll soon realise it's not true. I've been a PC owner since 1996, and have been a Mac owner for two months. My knowledge of Windows is stronger than anyone I know, so I'm not some Mac zealot who still thinks that Windows XP is as ugly and poor as Windows 3.1.
A few of the replies you made to me seemed a little trivial. For example, as regards the Messenger eggtimer thing, and it not being your experience. Well it was my experience. Your overriding point, therefore, is… what exactly? That you and I have lived different lives? 
I've phrased that a little heavily, and it's not meant to be unpleasantly critical, but my point is made - take it however you wish.
By the way, I don't download 'crap' either. I run a firewall, and update my virus definitions daily. My Windows XP is up to date, and I've been fine during these recent bleak times virus-wise. But, (again, strong phrase, take it as you wish, no unpleasant criticism meant) only an idiot would pretend that these are insignificant.
I disliked the final paragraph of your post. The rest of your post was conflicting to my opinion, but I read it with interest. Disagreeing with me is not a crime, and I'd much rather discuss an issue with someone of a conflicting opinion than someone with a similar opinion - it's far more interesting. However, you seemed to detect an anti-Windows undertone, when the last line of my post read "I'm not saying that Windows is the scourge of the modern world or anything like that. I'm simply saying that Mac OS X is better, and unless I experience anything to the contrary, my opinion will not change." To criticise something in favour of something else, as I did, does not mean that the losing party is irrelevant.
At no point did I try and convince you into getting a Macintosh. So don't waste my time in trying to accuse me of doing so.
Again, apologies if this gets a little heavy for some, it's something I've never done online before, but his last paragraph was absolute rubbish, and I feel undermined by it, quite honestly. False accusations, no matter how trivial, are the kind of thing that make one re-assess their presence in a forum. I enjoy disputing issues, but when he feels it necessary to go for the "hot girl" line, it makes me wonder why I'm even typing this post. Utterly pathetic.
I recommend you read my posts a little more carefully in future.
