Hye sputnik, in case you didnt read... hes not asking how to ge t rid of the pasword asking function of unlicensed version of trillian!
Hes asking how to put a password to the load of trillian so that it doesnt automatically log into his accounts!!!!
You know? kind of like msn if you dont have it set to log in automatically!!
Gee, people really need to chill out over ehre... :order: :order:
I'm at work now, I have Trillian at home, I'll check out there..
another good place to look would be on the Trillian Forums, but right now they're "down for maintenance".
Go into your Trillian Preference's window.
You'll see profiles on the left. Click on the default profile, and click edit. It will allow you to set a password.
I've never tried it with just one profile, and password protection. So if that doesn't work, just create another dumby profile, that way trillian will definately pop up a window on load asking you for your user & pass. All your configured accounts will still logon automatically, just only after you've put in the password to your trillian profile.
Hope that helps.
On a side note, it kills me how some user's are so quick to tell someone they're breaking the rules. It's like having a bunch of 3 year olds babysitting a bunch of 3 year olds. It makes no sense. If the mods feel something is inappropriate, they'll remove it.
99% of the time something is removed, I didn't even get a chance to see it, because it had already been removed. But I still see almost a post a week of someone telling someone else they're breaking the rules.
