Tibook...how Much?

ok, i have a TiBook (15" Titanium PowerBook, in case you didnt know ;))...and i was wondering how much do some people think it will fetch on ebay (or here, or anywhere)

15" Screen

667MHz G4

512MB Ram

30GB HD

Combo drive (CD-RW/DVD-ROM)

2 USB, 1 Firewire

Ethernet, Modem, Airport

DVI output/S-Video

The powerbook still runs like a champ and looks great (minus a little peeling paint in one corner, easily touched up and i would take care of it before i sold it).

Any ideas on how much i could get? Because if i got a good offer, i'm planning on kissing this goodbye and picking up a new AluBook :woot: (i know i would still have to shell out a few dollars)

I'll trade you my PC for it. 2.0Ghz, 256MB RDRAM, GF4128MB.

You wouldn't do it though. <_<

I bet you could fetch $800 easy on eBay.

I check Ebay quite a bit (just in case there is a really lucky break out there --- which there is usually NOT) and I rarely see a G4 powerbook (that's 12" by the way) going for less than a thou. Ocassionally, I've had a few e-merchants email me with an offer for one for $400 or so (although, as I've always heard, "If it looks too good to be true, it probably is.")

Hardly ever on the auctions itself. Unless there is something wrong with it. The regulars go for a thousand bucks or more. But, there are usually TONS of bids on them, so people WILL snatch them up. So, put it on there and see. I think you'd make more than you expect.

Hmmm,...this makes me wonder if any die-hard PC fans would bid on my office PC. ;) I think I'll log onto Ebay.

oddly enough TiBooks have incredible low depreciation value...

The TiBook 667 in question...

Should fetch Between $1350 to $1550 USD... on ebay.

I have seen them as high as $1700 and as low as $1200 ( a steal in my eyes, I just picked a Tibook 667 w 1GB ram, 40GB HD and an airport 2 months ago at $1200 on a buy it now, while others were asking $1600).

So that should give you an idea...

Even Dead Tibooks go for a premium, ie: the top and bottom casing goes for $100 easy. The LCD goes for $600 easy.
