Don't Download Anything I Have Posted

i just got a new virus prog (AVG) and it found the hantaner virus all over the place, what it does is replicate itself into all .exe files in the same folder as the infected file. turns out, the folder that i have all my aqua stuff in (and lots of other stuff) has the virus. so all .exe's that i have posted may have it (i think this applies to .zips too, but im not sure). if you have downloaded anything that i've posted, don't worry about it, the virus is harmless, it just sometimes corrupts the infected files... doesn't even run on startup or in the background at all...

kind of weird to create a virus that doesn't really do anything... i don't get the whole virus thing anyway... why not make cool progs that people like, instead of stuff that people hate you for...

i've taken down all .exe files that i was hosting

Yeah, with all the talk about viruses its actually really strange... people are sending me Klez, CIH, and all sorts of others to my primary e-mail account now for some reason. Everytime I check my mail Norton is saving my ass lately.

The last week i got infected witha "icon Zip file" that was posted in here..... i was so sad and Upset.... it was a Worm32 thing...... danm! then i was infected with that "blaster" so since that i use kasperky anti-virus.. and i`m checking everything i download from here ...... i don`t know why people do this kind of thing .... i used to believe in all the people in this community.. but now.... WELL you Knowww

i have an idea.... --> What We real need is Some kind of "Control moderator" yeap .. so that moderator download first all the Zips or softwares or whatever and then he use an antivirus or just have a look to discover if those files are infected , if those files aren`t infected .. well he just "post that he believe that file is OK" and then we all download it safetly but if it is not he tell us about the danger... What you thing People ??? <_<

would be a good idea except i don't think anyone wants to sacrifice their computer, and plus, a lot of files posted are duplicates, they would have to download them more than once

i still have confidence in everyone on this forum (at least the ones i know...), i don't think i got this virus from here, i think it may be from some other prog, because i keep all of my downloaded stuff in the same folder to keep my desktop clean...

wow, when i went on vacation for 6 weeks to europe and came back i had a wierdo version of ms blast. I wouldn't let me turn on the inernet because the computer would have a 1 minue countdown. I had to reformat my hardrive to get rid of it. Belive me even Norton Antivirus couldn't stop it. I tried a couple other antivirus progs and system restoring to a restore point. IT was a pain in the...
