i don't think you can. if you want the buttons on the left, you need to use wb.

 no way.......

but how can WB do that ??? maybe if we understand how it does. we can copy it ...... <_

WB has access to the underlying skinning engine (I believed the helped design the XP engine), so they can do it.

Try SHELLWM, a free program that can do it. I posted it on the Front page a few days ago ;)

Also, Ja450n has some great themes for it.

Yeah Contra i knew about that App from you.

Where can i fin those Skins ?

Windowblinds sort of replaces / takes over the function of the according Windows program (library).

On a side note, I still think it IS possible to move the button to the left: the hebrew version of Windows (i.e. you read from right to left) has the buttons on the left...

I couldn't really figure out how to do anything with that program that was posted- is there an option that makes the buttons move? Or do I need to find a skin that does that?

the MSStyle format.. does not allow for moving of the caption buttons..

Microsoft, didn't complete the code.. to allow for this..

windowblinds allows you to do this. because windowblinds doesn't mess with the system..

it draws bitmaps over top of the windows. to "cover" them up.. by doing this.. it allows you to move the buttons around..

i will be releasing a ShellWM format.. of my X-Port 2 (panther) skin..

ShellWM is (in my opinion) a better option.. if you have Xp, opposed to WB..

shellwm is smaller than wb.. and is FREE...

it sits nicely on top of any MSStyle file that you use...

I just love when people show how little they know about WB. 1) WB is just as "native" to XP as the MSStyles engine. They both work in the same way. It's not as if WB does anything less efficiently than MsStyles. The Themes service is just hidden within the services.exe. WB tends to have a lighter memory footprint than the Themes service on comparable themes. If you are using WB turn the Themes service off.

Like i said... except for the $$$ wb is actually better and smoother.

Almost useless for lanuages that go from left to right IMHO.

Besides, as much as I know Windoblinds stopped drawing things "over" the window things with WB2.x. From WB3.xon, it *replaced* what the OS was drawing??
