Question: Extracting And Convertig Mac-icons

I've downloaded some icon files from http://www.mixthepix.com .

The format of the files is ".sit.hqx". I am not able to extractthese files correctly.I use BinHex to extract ".sit.hqx" to ".sit". That works fine.But now i want to extract the ".sit" file with StuffIt - butit doesn't work.

I tried it on a win32 an on a linux box withoutsuccess.

Any suggestions?

Here's what I do. I just change the extension from *.sit.hqx to *.sit and run StuffItExpander on them to extract them.

It works fine for me.

misto23de, extract the download file and extract it with StuffIt Expander. Isn't necessary use BinHex... only extract original file (".sit.hqx") with StuffIt. Then you will have a sit file and folder create that StuffIt name with the file icon name. Use axialis Iconworkshop to convert icns to ico and enjoy.

I do it and all fine, I convert all icons this way
