Aqua-Soft ForumsIs there any way to use my WinAmp 2 DSP plug-ins for say Windows Media Player, or WinAmp3? I'm sorry if this is a really stupid question, I just don't know about this kind of stuff. 
I've seen a lot of beautiful skins for Windows Media Player, and it's got the features I like, and WinAmp3 is just cool, but neither of those support WinAmp 2 DSP plug-ins. And I need my Enhancer or music just doesn't sound the same.

Unless you use a Direct X plugin, I'm afraid it's probably no go.
These things are programmed differently, you know 
Hahha yea I know I know. I did manage to find a plug in for Winamp3 that lets you use Winamp2 plug ins. It works pretty well, unless you accidentally load Winamp2 and 3 at the same time while they're both using the same plug ins...
WELL YOU CAN USE few plugins made for winamp 2 for windows media player as well .............like dfx,dee 2, i ozotope surround , plus a brand new one like circle surround 2 ........so i guess with wmp the deal aint all that bad .

i had some major clipping with the dsp plugins, though.
OMG winamp 5??? I didn't even know there was a Winamp4.... Man where have I been? Yea I still don't use Winamp3 even tho i can still use the plug-ins. It loads too slow and I'm still stuck with Winamp2. I'd LOVE to use WMP with a nice DSP plug in and Stevie and Binary's iTunes skin, but I use Win98 and the skin is really messed up under 98. <_<
Spidercrap: Haha yes you can use W2 dsp plug ins in QCD! I already knew that, I just don't use it b/c it's too big and takes up too much space on the screen. If it was freakin resizable then I'd probly use it all the time. But I mean Winamp2's just got everything and it doesn't take up much room at all on screen, even with my playlist streched out. In fact, I've got a little space in the corner reserved for Winamp (LoL)
Im usin the Winamp 5 beta and ive had only 1 prob. I cant get most WA3 skins to load. All the plug-ins from WA2 have worked fine also. The memory usage isnt bad either. About 12megs, full install. Oh yea, Player engine from 2 + Skin engine from 3 = WA5 (2+3=5)
what's a good sound-enhancing dsp plugin?
I use this thing called Enhancer. It makes my music sound WAY better. The volume leveling is great too. Now even when I burn CD's I re-encode the songs with the Enhancer plug in on. haha
