the icons can be found at www.rad-e8.com
dunno why you need PNG's, all the 3 docks support icos's now ![]()
@localhost: The reason that most people use PNGs is because:
1. It looks better when Magnified.
2. The file size is significantly smaller.
1. there are 128x128 icons which look exactly like PNG's when magnified ![]()
2. i dont think there is a computer that can run a dock and doesnt have space for icons ![]()
If the icons are made in 128x128 it doesn't look any different then a 128x128 png. However most "standard" icons are only made in 16x16 to 32x32 or sometimes 48x48. I don't know for sure but I think the Snow.E2 icons are made in 16x16 to 128x128 so they should look good.

PNG is FASTER ![]()
dont the docks convert it to their native format, and load it to the memory?
maybe it would make the dock startup faster, but not the use of it
well i'll try the docks with ICO's only and PNG's only and post if its any faster ![]()
btw sorry for my crappy english >.<

I have snow E2 shell, installed on my computer. When I do use the original icons from the shell, the icons looks blurred and stretched when they are magnified. Therefore, I use PNGs.
Shell32.dll doesn't require 128 x 128 size since Windows doesn't have a need for that size. The highest it can go is 96 x 96. I do not know if the new snow shell32.dll does include the size of 128, but if it does, it will only make the shell32.dll bloated up in size. and thus decreasing in efficiency.
There has been problems of extra big shell32.dll having memory problems and comps slowing down.
However, if you download those icons from the site itself, there's a 128 x 128 size in all those icons. Which you can use it in .ico format or export it as PNGs using programs. However be warned, if you are using icos that have 128 x 128 size in them, pretty soon, your icons folder for the dock will be bloated up in no time, slowing you down when you want to change an icon to represent a app on the dock. ![]()

what constitutes an "extra big" shell32? i'm using a snowe2 one that's about 28.5mb and haven't noticed a slowdown yet. is it a gradual performance drop or a sudden one?
Not the snow E2's shell32.dll
I have read on this board that someone modded a shell32.dll and it's size is extra big, not sure of the size though. After installing it, users are having memory problems and comps slowing down.
In the end, some users reverted back to their old shell.
The thread is still somewhere on this board, find anything relating to 'shell'. I'm sorry as I can't provide more details on that thread itself.
yeah, that's pack's shell32.dll mod. it's so big that calculator, paint, etc. won't work. i posted about that problem before.
hehe.
I finished my mod of pack's shell32 to SNOW E2
i've got the permission from SNOW E2 icons creator.
Im waiting for Pack permission and i'll release it
NOTE: the pro's are, all of dialogs modded of pack shell and plus all of snow e2 icons.
its great :own:
hrm yeah...you've got the permisson? :goku's job:
