Image formats are common across all platforms.

Mac icons are in .PNG format.

To conver them to .ICO, get a free program called @icon Sushi.

You have to use iconworkshop to convert them.

.sit is a compression. you have to extract them with stuffit.

for those with .sit.hqx, simply remove the .hqx extension and you'll end with .sit

there's a tutorial at xicons.com
