Router/wireless Not Working When Phone In Use?

I've noticed that my router has trouble broadcasting a signal when my wireless phone is in use. My laptop cannot connect to the internet. My internet and phone-line provider is the same company. Could anyone know why this might be? is the phone's frequency disrupting the wireless frequency?

If you have a broadband connection via your phone aka ADSL it might be because you don't have any microfilters installed. You must have microfilters installed on all devices connected to telephone sockets on the line, this includes extensions. Google microfilters.
