Aqua On Linux

I'm a linux ****ie using redhat 9 and prefer to use gnome (although it’s no really different from kde). I just wondering, are aqua skinning on linux as good as windows? Which wm is better in this case, gnome or kde? Is there any complete tutorial/guide that could help me customizing my gui on linux? What app and skin recommended?

thanks.

Don't say things you'll regret later. ;)

From what ive seen, there's more Aqua themes for KDE (go to kde-look.org), but there are some nice ones RIGHT HERE for GNOME.

So for GNOME themes, check the "Customizing Other" section.

"although it’s no really different from kde" - oh, i'm just referring to the simplified/ uniformed menu in redhat 9. The windows looks & apps of course different :shy:

I've downloaded the "hacked panther" and "hacked gloss". I'll try to install them later on. Thanx.

I agree, more aqua development has been done for KDE than any other environment. There's even a dock for it.

However, I personally like the default Redhat Gnome theme (bluecurve) alot and I would just stick with that.

And as Contra already mentioned, there are some sweet Gnome themes here at a-s for gnome (mostly by roberto (?)), so you might wanna check'em out.
