Logo + Header Alteration

I wish to alter the header and logo of the skin to theme it with the site it is to be used on. I have tried modifying the CSS table "#header" to no avail - is the blue background located elsewhere, and is it an image or just colour? How might I go about modifying this?

Edit: I also am not getting a "home" tab display on the top on either my browser or iTouch. It simply shows the "forums" tab above the search option - is it supposed to show 'home' as I've seen in previous posts of this forum?

The colors are located at the top of the ipb_style.css (yes #header is it, but look for it at the top).

As for the home tab, that will only show up if you have your "Website Name" & "Website Address" setup under "General Configuration" or if you use the official portal plugin.
