Removing Borders In Buttons

It's the same thing. That Hide Underline feature also controls the dotted black boxes - give it a try.

Actually, it doesn't. I have that option enabled, and even on this website, if you use tab to cycle through text boxes and buttons, you will see the dotted lines on the buttons.

Sorry, it didn't work properly...it hid it for a few seconds and after a restart it was back again..

Any ideas?

I know if you use tab, it'll show the dotted boxes regardless of whether or not the feature is activated; I'm almost positive that that is hardwired into the system and cannot be deactivated (though i will check).

Also, sometimes (for whatever reason) it likes to turn back on again with no user input. I find that simply checking it, hitting apply, then ok turns of the boxes with no problem. Just give it a few tries, it should work.

Well I figured out how exactly to deactivate it....

1) First open that dialog box...

2) Uncheck that box 'hide underline...blah blah'

3) Press OK

4) Open Effects again

5) Check that box (so that it shows a tick mark)

6) Press OK

7) Close the Display Properties box

It should be gone now....

(It will still show in dialog boxes though)
