I like to view mine in an archaeological sense.

See, first you can see the time I spent adding some link buttons to the side of my website (linkbuttons.html, right.html, aqua_soft.gif, aquaxpbutton.gif), followed by the time I applied for a job (resume.doc), followed by that time I downloaded a bunch of movie trailers (rotk.mov, ThePassion.mov, teaser.mov), followed by the time I worked on my website (roms.php, ppc.php, ppc1.php, etc), followed by the time I backed up my databases (Save Database.aql, phpbb.sql).... and so on and so on.

And, of course, the "Ordinary life is pretty complex stuff" is reflective of the overall theme of the piece.
