Ah, I think the only fix will be to remove the "replies" text.
If that doesn't bug anyone, I'll remove it in the next version. It really doesn't do anything useful for those that use it in portrait mode.
Mind if I asked what you used to take the android shot?
I think it was really neat to flip the iphone before and see the word "replies". I believe it was working correctly in the last version. No biggy if it is more trouble than it is worth.
