A core 2 duo with 2gb memory,250 GB HDD will be fine 
Except that model is very very old and no longer available. The prices you see listed there are for batteries and/or AC adapters.
You won’t find a decent laptop… or rather even a low end laptop for less than £250 which is pretty cheap or it is to me anyway.
It is possible to find a netbook for around £200 if you can tolerate the smaller 9″ displays.
