Organizing Icons
I have one folder for each icon set, with the name of the set in the folders name. That keaps my icon-folder clean and tidy, and i allways find the ones i am looking for 
I have a My Icons folder. In this folder, I have many other folders that may be named after the author, website, or series. For instance, I have a Hein's Icons folder, an Iconizer folder, a World Of Aqua folder, and so forth.

oh, yeah, i simple put all the icons for the dock in one folder and the rest in their original unzipped folders, i mean the way they came as.
I create my own folder lets say jaguar icon, panther icon or modified icons and I compiled its from various website and put in in the folder and after save it in a package with icon packager

Its part of the XFCE4 WindowManager for *nix. Its like the old CDE Panel (which predates the "dock" 
)
i have a folder called "icons" and all my icons go in there. i don't sort by set or anything, but then again, i only have maybe 75 icons anyways.

Ya, I thought it looked nice when I saw it as well. I got it off one of the computer hardware forums I often visit. You can use it if you want.
