i, this may sound stupid, but i have no idea how to post a desktop screenshot. how do you do it? thank you!
[help] Screenshots
you can use the tag to add the screenshot to your post..
hey, it didn't exactly work, it asked me for a url for the pic. my screenshot is on my hard drive on the desktop so i input the path like C:\blah blah blah and it gave me this error message "You are not allowed to use that image extension on this board. A valid format is: http://www.domain.com/picture.gif, an invalid format is: http://www.domain.com/picture.one.gif" got any idea what i'm doing wrong?
mm.. maybe it's because of the ".one" part? anyway you can't use the tag with picture files on your computer - you've got to upload them first and link to the URL. alternatively, you could attach the file with your post. hope this solves your problem!

Erm, dude, you need to upload that picture onto a host on the internet. Then ppl can see your screenshot. You can try Lycos UK, they allow hotlinking.
oh ok, so it has to be on the web for me to link to it. ok, i'll try to upload it and see. thanks for the help :canadian:

Not unless the file size is small enough. Maximum 60k.
Look for "File Attachments" when you post.

oh ok then. so what types of files can we upload? gif, zip, exe?
any *.gif, *jpeg, *png file that's less than 60kb..... (probably works with *.bmp too, but why bother, use the compact file format)
