Round Edges In Xp??

Hey everyone, I was just curious if it was possible with some kind of resource hacking or a file change could make the blank boxes in Windows like the round one in the pic below. Also is there any way to get the blue shadow around them if it's at all possible. Thanks in advance for you input.

Any help would be appreciated or just a NO can't do that with windows would be ok... I was hoping Duckie or someone with a really high skinning and windows hacking intelligence would reply, maybe I will have to PM him.

Thanks

I dont think anyone has figured this one out. However, someone with VB skills could use the aquacontrols to do it. You'd have to make a new app tho.

That would be sweet, wonder who can do it. hmm, hafta ask around...

Thanks Duckie for your input!!

well, in smoke's WB theme, it is round..

#5410

And where does one find this theme?

#5413

my x-port theme has the blue shadow around text boxes..

however..

XP MSStyles won't allow for BMP's over where text is..

it places a white box behind any text input field..

so, i don't think the iTunes style box can be done..

Yeah, I'm looking to do it in msstyles. Hmm, that sucks. I don't like Windowblinds, it doesn't skin as well as msstyles...

Thanks for your guys input

actually the latest version is pretty good. Either that, or I just love Smoke's theme!

I used to be a Stardock=products basher, but WB 3.5 is pretty decent and deserves a thumbs up. Also, v4.0 is due pretty soon, and I have heard its gonna be sweet!

Hmm, I will have to wait until 4 comes out. I have used 3.3 and I didn't think it looked as authentic as the msstyle. OK Iceman's style is hard to top, but still :)

Thanks

Yup, stuff like menu's, selected items, TITLE BAR (important, right?)...

I think that WB v3.5 can skin more things than a regular *.msstyle ?.

Cuzzo

i havn't seen a skin for WB3.5a

that skins the Places Bar.

or the slider buttons.. (volume control)

not to mention.

it likes to crash my modified explorer.exe

My skins skin the sliders in the new versions with the lastest WB. Places skinning is coming in WB4 cause they don't want to redistribute modified dll's with the skins so they are making a way to do it without doing that.

I don't have a modified explorer.exe though cause I use objectbar which is good enough for me.

oh..

btw.

your JPG.. "Round" the iApp style..

this can be done in XP.. with CSS..

however..

i don't quite know how this would be tied into MSStyles..

i am looking into it..

Sweet. I hope we could find a solution for this. Square boxes are bothering me, hehe :)

Probably no one looking at this now since it was last posted in December but Clotz, I don't see what you want to modify. What box's? The screenshot isn't coming on.

Ive posted the same thing at least 3 times.

What I know it is impossible to change the combo/text boxes.

Because those things are generated by the genuine/classic win gui.

PEACE!
