Qt Tab Bar Question

Hi guys,

I'm pretty new here around the forum. :lol:

Just a real quick question. I'm using QT Tab Bar but there's one little thing that bugs me. Is there any way that I can eliminate the gap between the tab and the window edge in the red circle?

Hi there W0ot,

My experience tells me that a picture is worth a 1000 words, so here's my settings:

I.e. It's the toolbar background image (Leo_Background.png) that will sort out your problem. It's quite a small image that's tiled across the explorer window. The top of the image might have to be tweaked to match whatever WB/VS you're using...

Also, my font settings are:

Lucida Sans Unicode, Normal, Size 8

Title colours: Active 32/32/32 Inactive 255/255/255

Text shadow: Active 190/190/190 Inactive 60/60/60

@PoulNyrup, that was really nice of you. It took me awhile to get my setup the way I like it but well worth the effort. Your tutorial might spark more interest with folks around here to use QTTabbar. By the way, have you tried explorer breadcrumbs? http://minimalist.com/software/ExplorerBreadcrumbs/ It doesn't match a skin's gradients but it's small and light weight and does fit in well with the skin's metal motif.

Actually, I don't think it's the same program you're talking about: mine's "QTAdressBar" from the same site as QTTabBar: http://qttabbar.wikidot.com/

Works fine... ;) Actually, despite using WindowBlinds, Objectbar, Iconpackager, Flyakite, Rocketdock, StacksDocklet & a million other things for a lesser eternity, QTTabBar is actually the most productive tool I have.

One great thing is the "Groups" function: for various work activities, I'll need to have several folders open at the same time, which is a breeze with QTTabBar - just open all folders in each their own tab, add them to a group and give a keyboard short-cut e.g. "Alt+L". Next time I need to open the same folders I just hit Alt+L and they all open up...

Despite reading a lot on the topic here at AS, I never figured out a smart way to make a shortcut that'd toggle between FindeXer and the Folder Tree view... Did you ever figure that out? I've got Autohotkey, but let's just say I'm a "beginner" at the subject... :D

And by the way, I've just installed Ubuntu on a partition, so QTTabBar's not the first thing on my mind at the moment... :P
