It's very sleek but it isn't working on my Lenovo ThinkPad T61p, running factory installed Vista Ultimate. I see the volume overlay appear and changing the volume up and down does effect the sound played by the overlay, but it's not effecting external programs. The movie I had playing in the background stayed at the same volume.
