Icon Problems

As you can see from this screenshot, the icons I have circled in red appear blurred and jaggedy, yet the icons which I got from exactly the same set ( the ones in green ) appear perfectly. I saved all the icons in exactly the same way, using the same program; they were both from the same set of icons  Does anyone know why this is?

Also, does anyone know where I can find these icons in .ico format, that don't appear like the ones above ^:

All help is appreciated :)

I will be adding the icons in .ico format for everyone in a few days. And just in case you don't know the URL it's :http://www.jonmega.com/~clotz

By the way, the icons are kinda large :) Um, about 9.27MB for just the apps :) About 65MB total for all of the icons in my sets. Alot but they are in good quality!! 16x16-128x128...

Thanks Clotz :) That's one problem solved....

Just a mo', isn't your site just for .png files? Because I was looking for them in .ico files

Also, does anyone have any ideas about the jaggedy icons in the screenshot?

Yeah they are in PNG currently, but .ico format will be available for download in a few days :)

Simon...just check the resolution of the icons you are using....they should be at least 72 x 72 or they will look ugly....

Sorry Siddarth, that didn't work. I can only save the icons as 128x128, 32x32 and so on, and the 128x128 format still looks jaggedy :( Just in case you're interested, I'm using a icon set available from this page ( check the menu down the side; at the bottom), although I don't think it makes much difference. Is there any chance someone could send me a set like it; it would save a lot of time :)

So what your saying is in 128x128, 72x72 and 32x32 the icons are jaggedy? Are they Jaggedy in lower resolutions as well?

If changing the icon resolutions doesnt work, the set your using may be funked out. So just go shopping around for a new set.

You need your icons in ALL formats to have qualitry resolution in all sizes. Try different sizes. Your icons will look good in at least one size. If you need them in a particular size you need to get them in more formats. Also the formats must be original. If somone took one format and enlarged it and made it smaller manually, then made it into another format, then your icons will still look bad. It took me while to figure that one out! ;) So, just make sure you have the icon in the format you need it in, and that the format is ORIGINAL. Meaning it was not manually created.

Why don't you just convert some of the PNG's from Clotz's set to ICO's yourself...It's very easy...Just use IconSushi...

Well I'm probably just going to give up and have a look for another icon set. This set of icons is causing too much trouble :( Thanks for your help anyway guys B)

Why dont you just fire up Iconworkshop, you can import that png and make it into a new icon project and include for it to be all sizes, 16-128. :)
