Yesterday...

... I couldn't stand anymore. I bought a iMac!

It's a really great thing. But what I would like to say is, through all your help and all your great little progs and mods my PC looks 99% like X!

The feeling of the windows GUI - you all made and gave - is perfect.

I don't want to miss one of them.

The Mac with it Unix, and my customizable PC with it X-feeling...

Hmmm, you are absolutely right. Should mean: "There couldn't be enough resistance." Or whatever...

Both systems are great! Apple have the power of Unix but is missing some really good programs like Pinnacles Instant DVD...., Windoze have it but is "slow", have a bad design..., sometimes really bad code, and taste a "little" like spyware.

Sometimes - I think - Bill Gates wants to know everything about you and me......

First impressions: Absolutely great. It needs some time to find a way "HowTo", but this normal because of the different systems Unix <-> 32-bit DOS. :-)

Great design, good display (I have a Eizo L685 18" TFT with DualDomain IPS-Panel on my PC, which is definitivly 50% better for graphic work than Active Matrix or PVA, or whatever panels). The iMac is fast, the programs like toast... are excellent...

Could be cheaper, but I don't want to miss it! (After 2 days - but I'm a computer junkie... :-)

So you have the 17" iMac.....how much did you pay? I'm seriously considering getting one as well so I can experience this whole Mac thing. I really don't need a G5 cause' my PC is more than beefy. I really only want to be able to run Mac's latest OS. I'll probably spend more time just playing with the UI more than anything......
