Apps/Tipps to sort the start menu

Hi,

I'm trying to thin out the clutter on my start menu,

I have a lot of applications installed so I made separate folders such as 'graphics' 'games' etc. where I file the corresponding applications manually.

But now every time I install a new program or update an existing one the arrangement of these folders gets destroyed

I'd like to have a program like this: http://www.vistastartmenu.com/index.html, but a Freeware version.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Oh, never mind. I just took a look to VistaStartMenu's demo. Now I understand what you're looking for.

Also VSM has a free and a PRO version, maybe the free one already suits your needs.

I use Tidystart menu, not sure if it´s what you´re lookin´for, but you can google it, i´ll try to find the installer on my computer, if I succed i´ll post it for you...

If you have a objectdock/rocketdock KKmenu is excellent for what you're trying to do.

It also has customizable backgrounds and you can choose the image you want associated with your folder.
