Icon Prograns

What's the best windowsXP program to change icons ??? I don't like the IconPackager.

Why not?? I'm using it and do the job fine.

Althouth I can't seem to change the DVD rom and CD writer icon in "My computer". But I'm not sure if it's the limitation of the Icon Packager or limitation of Windows XP.

IconPackager is the best.

If you don't like it, try IconPhile. Its a little risky though..

I use a combination of both: Microangelo and Icon Packager. Together, they're a pretty mighty duo.

There is also ActiveIcons : -> Here - Its more stable than IconPhile, but both are effective free alternatives. Although I use IconPackager, another viable method is creating reg-files to change them yourself (use the reg-file only if you hardly change icons). Instructions on registry changes can be found at VirtualPlastic.

The three I listed are capable of doing so; you may have to refresh or restart though.
