Dude, post a picture so I can see what your dock looks like, that would help me figure what the problem is better.
Close the dock. Go to where you have it installed, and open the itemlist.conf file. Now insert the following code, between the two items you want the separator you want.
[RKDockItem]
type = separator
show = normal
Save and close, restart the dock, and Bob's your Uncle.
Failing that right click an icon, go to Rk Settings, scroll to add Separator.
