How To Get Ichat Bubbles Working!

idea: For iChat Bubbles

by using html type of coding like xml it might enable ways to link images behind text

example: *(hidden automaticly added as sent)* ""

& " tags or xml positioning/layer tags will be needed to position bubbles on text properly.

I know the example shown above will not work but I am trying to get accross a plug-in that uses xml coding in the background should be able to send similair working commands.

hope someone picks up on this and develops on this idea cuz I can't. Don't see why this wouldn't work but I'm not plug-in programmer.

shouldn't it be a .png, as well? that way it'd be lossless when it gets stretched....

does trillian support .pngs? i don't know. just a thought.

Has anyone looked into this? I wish I could but I don't know a thing about programing. It sounds like a good idea, bumping so that someone with the skill might take a crack at it.

The problem with this is that iChat draws it differently... on the fly i think. if you just had a set of images, when you had a long message the "bubble" would look all screwed up, unless you found some way to get it to stretch the other images in the tile to the same proportion as the ones affected by the length of the image. if you dont, the curves wont match up etc.. Won't look good

Wrong there have to be 9 images!!! or just 5 (middle, every corner)

so there could be an image for the whole thing and imges 1,3,7,9 for the corners

other way: you use 9 images and make only 2,4,5,6,8 streched

i can do the positioning/stretching thing but dunno how to include in trillian

EDIT: I hate fonts with only semi-fixed width!

So we have someone willing to do the stretching? I'll help with whatever I can, I don't have any experience with programming, but I do know how to use Photoshop, etc. pretty well. I hope we can all make our dreams of having chat bubbles come true some day!
