After reformat, Internet is slow

sloooow

Actually, it isn't. I get the same speed test results, same ping, pages load in the same time, but I can't do 2 things at once. Everyone else on my network can, but I can't, which is making watching youtube videos, and 100% super-legal torrents, near impossible. My drivers say they're from 2006,it's a Broadcom card, and it's wireless. Device manager calls it a "Broadcom 802.11g Network Adapter"

Please help :(

I'll give you cookies :)

Look on Broadcom's site for the latest driver -- windows update sometimes has drivers available for updating, but I doubt it'll help you since you've already been through 4GB of updates from it.

I did, and while I couldn't find a new one... the site was awfully designed. :(

edit: I can find plenty of ethernet drivers, but no wireless ones <_<

It might be that it's windows making your connection slow... with the limit on half-open TCP connections... At least when it comes to torrents, I know it does. Search google for the patch that "loosens" the limit.

Ah! That's something it could be.

God, I'd made so many little tweaks :(

EDIT: Thank you, mate ;)

Now internets are just slightly slower when I have torrents on, but whatever ^_^
