How can I tell what service pack I'm running?

And 1.2GB of updates later, I don't even know if I'm running SP1. Am I?

(As in, how the bloody hell can I tell?!)

You can right-click 'my computer' and choose 'properties'

The properties window should say you operating system version and any installed service packs

ok, mine doesn't mention sp1 at all.

I'm-a assume I don't have it, then :/

Have you checked the control panel?

I don't have vista but I assume the set up is the same, I can see Sp3 on XP.

about 2gb of updates, and 5 reboots later, it's come up in WinUpdate :3

Don't you just love Windows?

:P

It SHOULD be in Control Panel>System and Maintenance>System.

Near the top, it should specify what version of Windows you're using and what service pack.

In windows vista, go to click on the start menu, go to the control panel, go into classic view, find and open "System". In this folder there will be a section that will say "system Edition", and under which it will say Service Pack _
