Dirk Mueller a head developer in KDE.org announce that KDE 3.1 Final will be delayed once again maybe till early next year but u can read about it here KDE ANNOUNCEMENT
Im extremely dissapointed since I want it to give myself KDE 3.1 as a christmas present and play wiht all the new featuresLOL
humm... download and compile it... ain't that difficult. I know it is beta but it is pretty stable.
Good thing I only use gnome 
ugh that sucks.. i was hopeing for it to be released soon and not wait for another month or so.. i guess they gotta kill more bugs?
id compile the beta but i alwatys like getting the final... makes me feel more better.. lol its just a thing i have... oh well

you should switch to gnome anyways, its much better 
jk, i have used both before, but there is something i dont like about kde. i cant put mah pointer on it tho.
gnome has that good feeling quality.
That's the almost the same way I feel about Gnome,to me gnome is more eyecandy, I get around faster in KDE then gnome but thats just my opinion.
