Any New Finder like Menu bars in sight???

okeii ive been trying to look for a program that is well as good as objectbar i would use it but... i have no money and i think its kind of stupid paying for something that is made by stardock [ugh i dont like stardock] well i was wondering if anyone is making a new finder like menu bar???

it would be so kool if someone combined rosie's skills to use the menu like macs finder with finderbars menu editing and all the other features im forgetting.

Objectdock is free, only it's plus version is paid.

Also you shouldn't expect everything to be free, it's a lot of work and generally years of study to become a programmer.

When you call someone to work like a plumber, a doctor or even a taxi driver, even though those are just services they give, you don't expect them to work for free, so why should you expect programmers to do so?

As for alternative to objectdock, you should search a bit more, there's plenty everywhere like rocketdock and y'z dock.

I'm also working on a different type of dock too but it's not yet ready to be released.

You could try this one http://landvermesser.tripod.com/ it's not brilliant but its a free finderbar for windows, seeing as you asked for an alternative to Objectbar.

sorry, I misread objectbar by objectdock.

I use 2 programs that are bit similar:

Sidebar and launchy, it's not a all in 1, but I find those quite good for me.

Personally I think the free version is wonderful. The customization is incredible.

With Matonga's stack docklet (thanks Matonga!)

Standalone Stack (forget who made this)

and now the free KK menu its quite functional.

Kittierocker, the link that shiftylem gave you IS for an Object BAR alternative. It's called Finderbar. Try looking next time >_>

From what I have read there is a script within the install image of ntfs-3g, but I cannot access the image because nothing will show on my desktop. I tried to access the image from terminal but I get an error saying that an unexpected "(" was found every time I try and access it. I would simply reinstall OS X but my Time Machine drive is currently an hour away and thats a bit too far with gas being so high.
