Some audio software

I'm looking for a program that allows me to extract just the sounds from a movie file. If someone would help me out, I would greatly appreciate it.

try blazemp audio software. its not free but i bet you would get any better than that. all blazemp softwares are highly optimised and coded spcially to do this kind of taks

If you want to go the freeware way, I would try this:

1. Convert the movie into an .avi or .mpeg file, somehow (dunno for this step).

2. Use VirtualDub to save only the audio of the movie, as a .wav file. Be sure to tell VirtualDub to full-process the audio instead of direct-copying it.

3. Then use Audacity on the .wav file to extract the sounds you want.

import the video in Windows Movie Maker, in the timeline view,

click on audio tab

drag the audio wave to the tab below called audio/music,

thus only the audio remains from the video then you can publish the movie which is saved as audio
