I have created a blog on blogger and I wanted to know if Wordpress is better than blogger?
I mean I went on and installed a new theme in blogger and the next day the theme images could not be accessed so blog was all messed up so i had to revert it back to the normal blogger themes. I wanted to know if there is a way i can install wordpress themes onto blogger because they are really good. Or if you guys have a suggestion of a blogger theme. basically what i need is a simple(fast loading) something like:

http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/elegant-grunge
Another issue:
I don't if you guys (who have their blogs) use a software to write, But I just came across Windows live writer. Which i felt was better than going to blogger and writing. Do you guys use some other better writing software, if so which one. Please suggest one for PC and one for MAC.
