Registry -> Folder Icon

Is it possible to define an icon for every folder at your partitions by the registry?

And: Is there a way to get the background of the letters of desktop images transparent?

about the icons, you can get i nice little app called icondesk, sorry i dont have a link, just google it! it has other nice features also!
