I couldn't wait anylonger for a "perfect" version of the ProPanther theme thats going to come out from Threedrives, Jix and Kevin...

So....

In Homage to Xp Themer Extrodinaire, KoL..... :bow:

A throwback to his Instant Classic...........Smooth Stripes GLOSS..... :woot:

Now improved with the Glossy PLASTIC features:

PLASTIC BUTTONS AND TABS,

Panther/Aqua wannabe fonts (bolder/blacker, but not blurry like LucidaMac) on the Clock, taskbar and Caption Bars, (WITHOUT THE STRANGE SHADOWS in other windows)

Plastic Pro Glyphs (max/min/close) :who's your daddy: (these really look great!!)

PLASTIC Combo Boxes

Plastic Pro Blue Progress tracker bars (that are accurate, in the status bar of Internet Explorer AND in the file transfer dialog boxes)

and other touchups including a caption bar resize that makes it 1 pixel shorter. (so that the captionbar is the right height)

Kol's themes always have this really professional feel to them, they are amazingly accurate and don't cause any unexpected glitches or graphical artifacts when using them.. :bow:

SO this not only looks good, but works really great as well, only as KoL could have made it!!!

I built this on an IBM 390e laptop.. yes.. running stylebuilder and photoshop 7 at 298mhz with 384 megs of ram is NOT PRETTY...............

I'll ask for permissions and post up more screeners if ppl are interested....(or if this thread hits 4 pages, whichever comes first ! :dr_evil:

Very nice. I just want to make one suggestion. See the "Apply", "Delete" and the other dead buttons? They look aqua, not plastic. Can you change that? Oh, and i would love to see some square plastic buttons, just like the ones we have here in the board!

But please ask permission from the original Plastic Pro designer before you release. ...even if your thread hits 4 pages.

Also you used my rip of the buttons (disabled buttons still TDK_Panther 2.01 version),

it's no biggie, but I wish you'd have informed us that you used our work.

thanks for the overwhelming response!! I have had a pretty busy long weekend and i have been working on this on and off.. anyways, i sent out an email to KoL for his stamp of approval,

worked on the buttons and ironed out a few font issues..

is there anything that can be improved on??

ok/cancel/apply buttons modded THANKS 3DRIVES!!! :bow: (Y) sorry about using them earlier and not telling ya :order: However I think i got the font pretty good for the captions/clock/buttons...

Buttons/spacing/stretching even work good in webpages, as you can see from google.com and the aqua-soft reply.

Grusic - I don't think i'll be doing a borderless version, I am not sure what settings to adjust in the MSSTYLE (unless someone knows and wants to fill me in) and borderless only looks good if you have y's shadow on.. and on my STINKPAD, i think it would slow things down a good deal.. so for now the boarder stays........

Grey/Metal versions i dont' really have planned.. maybe i'll just change the glyphs, buttons and a few textures for them but thats about all i think im going to do..

I know what I always wanted?

A Glossy (smooth stripes) head but instead of grey or blye or coloured buttons, just some WHITE buttons, in glossy and milky style.

THAT would rule!
