Which Is The Best Grapic Card (best Brand)

on my own experience, but i would like to learn more from you guys,computers "nerds"

of all the world

my question is this: WHICH IS THE BES BRAND OF GRAPHICS CARD IN THE MARKET? ati and nvidia card are the most dominat video cards.

currently i have the ATI all in wonder 7500, i am satisfied whit it, good graphics in everyting but i would like to know which brand is the best. since i never had try another brand besides ati for me ,am thinking on try nvidia gforce in the next computer that I will build for me.

In my opinion ATi is better. It provides better picture quality and colors (especially in movies and graphic programs). I'm very happy with my Radeon 9000Pro but I'm thinking of changing it to 9500 because it can be easily 'morphed' into 9700Pro - just install appropriate drivers, overclock it a bit and you get 80% faster card for free!

i LOVE ATI!! currently, i have a 9700 pro, you can also overclock this to close to the 9800 pro. i wish i would have gone with the AIWs tho... I really want to hook up my dreamcast to my computer, plus bigger tv would be nice...

I've got an ati 7500. I like it, and handles all the games i currently play (medal of honor and battlefield 1942). It handles y'z dock very well also, im getting 80fps on the benchmarks. I'd like to upgrade soon, so as not to fall back with a dying card. Any suggestions?

thats like asking wich is the best car, or best motorcycle its a matter of opinion. Technicaly as of date i would have to say nvidias 5900 ultra. nvidas also been around a while and will be around for an even longer while. i personaly would try and find a 9500 non pro 128m and soft mod it to a 9700 non pro, these cards are extremly hard to find though, as ati has started to phase them out.

I SEE, AS FAR AS I KNOW, AND BASED ON MY OWN EXPERIENCES, I PREFER ATI CARDS. I HAVEN'T TRIED A NVIDIA BEFORE BUT IT COME TO MY ATTENTION THAT APPLE HAS INCLUDED NVIDIA IN HIS G5, AND ALSO THET MOST OF THE EMULATOR FOR GAMES HAVE LESS TROUBLE WHIT OTHERS CARDS RATHER THAN ATI.

I PERSONALY HAVE THE ATI 7500 AND I HAVEN'T ANY TROBLE, IS GREAT.

MAYBE I GET THE 9000 PRO 128 OR LATER, NOW THAT ARE DISCONTINUED BY ATI THE PRICES ARE REAL GOOD, HERE IN NEW YORK. IS GETTING MORE CHEAP

ATi is good, used to like nVidia in the GF3~ days but ATi is in now, nVidia is just getting crappier and crappier.

Gee, I still remember those "Voodoo vs NVidia" debates... Well, guys, a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, there was a civil war, in which NVidia has thrown Voodoo down. After that ATi became a poor sod, trying to help NVidia not to get caught by anti-monopoly comission, heh So, NVidia cards (GF2 and especially GF3) were state-of-the-art cards, no ATi card could mach'em in direct battle And the most ATi's worst problem were crappy drivers, opposite to NVidia's detonators, which made your card better and better with every version.

But nowadays it seems that "Voodoo curse" has fallen upon NVIdia Their cards' cost goes up, while their cards' quality goest down... Opposed to ATi now - their drivers are finally stable and qualified, and their cards are cheaper than dirt, eh...

Well, nuff said, ATi rules. For now.

very good explanation lonewolf thanks. you are right, the major problem whit ati cards where the drivers, i remeber thet i have to update the drivers more than 3 times and forget the driver of the installation cd, it doen't work.

i see that ati are improving while their prices are going down, thats good!!

so it seems that nvidia is just talk bla bla bla

welll for now i will continue using ati cards

I use a 9600 Pro, which is fanastic for me, because it has built in DX9 support, runs VERY cool (I have a shuttle XPC, so heat is an issue), performs fantastically, and only cost me $156!!!

I totally recommend it, and if you want, get in AIW, something I wish I did now, because I want to watch TV

EVERYTHING is better here...The Scenery, people (well, not so much the people), the diseases, Beer, Porn, and Video Cards.
