Well, it's quite nice app, but it is waaay too flawed... Which is quite strange, because it is long in development :-/
So:
1. It is VERY memory-consuming (20Mb of system memory is a bit too much for a small sticke program, isn't it? The whole Yz Dock packed with lots of docklets eats less than 5Mb)
2. It creates only one-colored stickies every time. It doesn't have any option to create random-coloured stickies.
3. It loads to system tray only, which means that you cannot just put it to yur Dock (Yz, for example) to create a stickie every time you need, instead - you have to double-click this small systray icon every time you need to create a stickie...
4. MS .NET Framework is just a wrong tool for creating nice, light-weight applications...
Sad but true - this app is still have much to be polished... ![]()
So what is the best stickies program??
I still can't try xstickies by cassiel because when i want to add new note it will said that out of memory, error 7 bla bla bla.....
So for me this still the best stickies program around, because I don't know any stickies program that you can add new note from the dock...
4. MS .NET Framework is just a wrong tool for creating nice, light-weight applications...
Its written in C#, he doesn't have a choice.
I use ATNotes - I like it a lot.
It's nicely customizable, &c - see for yourself, neh?
I use stikies 4.5a you can Change the Skin (so you can make it look like the real one) you can have 10 differents colors, and it is a nice program..... give it a try.... bye
I second the nod for Stickies 4.5a...I've been using it for years (since version 3.x).
i agree.. stickies 4.5a is pretty awesome.. although i havent foundhow to change the border color yet (maybe its rite in front of me, i just cant see it.. ) to make it exactly the look of xStickies..
heres what i have:

Just double-click the top bar and it goes away...to bring it back put your mouse up near the top border of the window and double-click again

Xstickies can do that, but the application is no longer available,
I try to use the same argument as xstickies with other stickies application but it didn't work, so i just content to create new note using window shorcut instead
I have tried all 'Stickies' programs suggested here. But when I have found ATnotes, it's way more functional than other programs.
It has alarm notification system which reminds you of a schedule.
It's customizable.
It looks clean (without the need for skins or whatever.) with a dropped shadow.
In my opinion, AT notes is better than stickies 4.5a, which doesn't look that great, along with it's features.
I use Post-it from 3M, and it can be integrated into Y'z Dock.
I am sure some of you already heard this stickie program before. (Y)
Yeah, but the "Post-Its" dont get shadowed and if you want transparency you have to wet it down. Too much "Real World" work lol.
HEY (ALANG )
ok, i c you are really mad about this App. (Sorry for the late)
First use this file as a skin in your stikies 4.5a
how?
Well, first put the "SKIN.bmp" (save it as a zip or just rename it and unzip it
) in the stikies folder, then , go to your Stikies.exe--->(right click on the try icon) ---> Styles...--->(under skin) Browse the "SKIN.bmp" and acept......
That is all.
what about now .... look nice isn`t it ??? Well bye Dude.

Thanks buddy,
But since i'm trying atnotes I find this application is more useful and easy to use
By the way I really appreciate your help and maybe someday when I bored with atnotes i will switch it back to stickies 4.5a and use ur mod
U should release ur mod ingeneermind so that other members can use it too.
I have tried it and it's really a great mode
