Question: Fow Do You Mount Hard Disk On Dtop?

I have noticed in many of the screenshots posted, you have a hard drive mounted on the desktop. How do you do this? I know you can make a shortcut but then it has that ugly arrow on it..... Also how do increase the size of icons? .... i know n00b questions but i have tried to figure these out and cant .... thanks

They are just shortcuts, or they are created with SAMURIZE.

To remove the arrow, get a program from Microsoft called TWEAKUI.

To make the icons big, theres a tutorial at xicons.com

Simply remove the shortcut overlay (use a blank one) if you dont want it to show..

that way you can have your drives on yout desktop without the arrow.

To remove and adjust a few more settings, get Powertoys (which contains TweakUI) from Microsoft's website. This will allow you to remove the shortcut icon for one, but also gives you change a lot of Windows settings you can't change any other way, like the throbbers in IE and explorer itself.

In order to get the harddrive on your desktop, if you are running XP, you can go to Display Properties and then the Desktop tab. Go to Customize Desktop, and there it will give you the chance of changing the standard icon.

If you don't have XP, Microangelo is a full icon studio that can change any icon on your system to whatever icon you want.

Hope that helped.
