iTunes Store might suffer!

Well to summarize, Apple has plans to raise up iTunes Store prices. Actually, they are forced to raise up prices. However, this effect can cause a lot of problems, even money loss. Music prices are to be raised by 9-15 cents more. There are rumors that Apple might actually shutdown the iTunes Store to save itself. Its unlikely they will shut it down.

I think most people won't care if the iTunes Store is shutdown of if it raises prices because most of us with iPods just get the songs from an "Alternative Source" :D.

So if you go on to say they're forced to raise prices, why include this?

it'll never happen. itunes is a loss leader, adding value to ipod and iphones. apple will gladly take a hit on itunes to sell more hardware. i think mike masnick says it best.

Easy question. Apple has not increased the prices of each song yet. They have plans that they will but don't know when. So for those people thinking why Apple is going to raise prices, it not them. They are being forced by Copyright Royalty Board.

Apple will never shutdown iTunes, there aren't so stupid, so, why then they included in iTunes 8 the 'genius bar'?

+1 iApple... i mean iTunes is soo big and you surely need it for your iPod.

There may be other apps but iTunes is what majority of us iPod users use to put stuff on it
