Lost Dock Item - how get back?

I accidentally removed some items, i.e. control panel, 3D view of open apps on desktop, etc. How do I get them back? or how do I get rkl back to it's default state? I've tried reinstalling but it still goes back to the same state even though the folder is deleted!

Where does rkl store its settings? Can't find anything in registry.

Thanks.

Rk doesn't technically install you could have the files on any drive you like, including a flash drive, all the .ini files are within with RK folder so nothing is written to the registry .

All you need to do is delete the entire RKLauncher folder then start again.

Thanks for that, but the version I am using does install. I got it from

http://windowsedge.com/iVista%20Project/RKLauncher.html

it has a lot of Mac icons, but it definitely installs and just uninstalling and deleting the folder doesn't work.

Any other thoughts?

Ok, someone has made this to install, it's not the normal way of installing RK.

I can only suggest downloading a copy of Revo Uninstaller, it's free and a damn good uninstaller too. This should help find all the registry entries and can help delete them too.

Once you done that it should be easy to reinstall your version of Rk again.

Thanks again. Revo looks good, but unfortunately didn't help with this PITA version of RKL!

I uninstalled with Revo, reinstalled but it was the same as before. So, I uninstalled again, then reinstalled to a different folder and now it has been restored to its former glory. Still, clearly it is leaving artifacts of its previous install.

Oh well...

Bummer buddy.

You could try a system restore.

Tried that as well to one long before I first installed the RKL version, but still didn't work.

Thanks anyway.
