MBP Heat, Is it just me?

When i use my MBP (15") for a long tym (like 5-6 Hours), the base gets heated up and some times the charger too. I wanted to know whether its just me or happens to all MBPs. Will it help if i used the Laptop Cooling Pads? If yes, then can you guys please suggest me some good ones

Yeah they get hot, in fact I think most of them get toasty to the touch.

Also I've read a tip using a hot water bottle part filled with cold water helps keeping your legs getting burnt.
