Objectbar Vs the DWM

The DWM, or Windows Vista's Aero Compositor, is the 3D graphics card based desktop composition technology behind Vista's glassy blur, vsync, and anti-aliasing, and is the windows world's version of mac OS X's 2D compositor, Quartz.

Despite the fact it cannot walk the streets, as it drips awesome behind it, it messes around with OB's head a little, creating window placement errors, as well asinhibiting OB's natural desire to eat all of my menubars, by causing the menu it is stealing to not display each option until you scroll over it. It functions fine without the DWM.

So my query is thus, to achieve a more cohesive feel in my Windows box, I must be able to steal the menus, however the DWM is non-negotiable, it will not be leaving me, so is there a solution to my problem?

(On a side note, does anyone have the latest version of OB mod, and instructions on how to actually install it so it works?)

I'll be sure to bookmark this thread to look up the definitions to all the complicated words you used.

I doubt objectbar will cooperate with vista, especially when it comes to adapting/emulating the menus.

I like complex words, they're awesome.

Ah well, I guess I'll just wait for Stardock to bring out OB3, I guess...

OB3 would be cool but they need to dump bitmaps and use PNGs instead.
